UK2 has put in place a new Acceptable Usage Policy which no longer allows backups of sites or cloud data to be stored on shared hosting servers. They say that the “primary objective is to manage storage usage on our shared hosting infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and stability for all customers“.
This means that there are two backup and restore options available to us. The first makes use of the backups which are taken daily by UK2 and kept for five days. We access these by clicking on the ‘mount backups’ option on CHI.
For the second, we can use cPanel to make a full or partial backup of our account and download it to a local machine.
