We are commanded to love our neighbour as ourselves. The Pastoral Care and Service to the Community Working Group aims to bring together skills and practices from across the Mission Community in ways that will identify and meet needs of anyone living in our area, whether connected with the church or not. In a thinly populated area such as ours, loneliness and isolation can be real problems, and the lack of public transport can aggravate this. As well as encouraging initiatives to address needs within the community, we also aim to provide a focus and support for any existing efforts and to provide a liaison point between the Mission Community and other external agencies working in these fields.
Members are currently: Sue Browne, Royston Kershaw, Angela Richards, Shirley Madge & Lisa Clapp.
