Welcome to the Parish Church of St Peter, Brampford Speke

There has been a church at Brampford Speke for at least 900 years, located on the red sandstone cliff overlooking the River Exe. The church tower was built in the 1400’s and would have been as familiar a landmark to people living 500 years ago as it is today.

As part of the Netherexe Mission Community we are committed to maintaining a worshipping, witnessing community in our parish and to making the gospel known to people of all ages and backgrounds. The church is open throughout the day and visitors are most welcome.

Services at Brampford Speke

Netherexe group services *

First Sunday of the month 

10 am 'Service with a Smile'   for all ages - an informal family service lasting about 35 minutes, designed with the needs of children in mind 

Second Sunday of the Month 

9 am Holy Communion (a quiet said service) 

Third Sunday of the month 

6.30 pm Joint Evening Service alternating between Brampford Speke Baptist Chapel (January, March, May...) and the Parish Church (February, April, June...) 

Fourth Sunday of the Month 

No service at Brampford Speke.  We are invited to join one of the other churches of the group for Sunday worship * 

Fifth Sunday of the Month

11 am Holy Communion for all the parishes at one of the churches in the group, followed by a bring-and-share lunch *
