The Pastoral Care and Service to the Community Working Group

We are commanded to love our neighbour as ourselves.  The Pastoral Care and Service to the Community Working Group aims to bring together skills and practices from across the Mission Community in ways that will identify and meet needs of anyone living in our area, whether connected with the church or not.  In a thinly populated area such as ours, loneliness and isolation can be real problems, and the lack of public transport can aggravate this.  As well as encouraging initiatives to address needs within the community, we also aim to provide a focus and support for any existing efforts and to provide a liaison point between the Mission Community and other external agencies working in these fields.

Members are currently: Katie Cross, Sue Browne, Royston Kershaw, Janet Boustred, Shirley Madge, John Sanders & Lisa Clapp.

Services in the Netherexe Parishes

EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT ALL OF OUR SERVICES

Your parish churches aim to meet the needs of the whole community by providing a variety of types of service. For example, Family Services are informal and contemporary in style, designed for all ages and with the needs of young children especially in mind. Some of our Holy Communion services are a very traditional, quiet and reflective service from the Book of Common Prayer.

Our monthly newsletter ‘In Touch’, which you can access via the 'What's on' menu or the link below, will help you to find the service that suits you.

SERVICES

A detailed programme of the forthcoming months Sunday services in all of the Netherexe parishes is published in our newsletter ‘In Touch’, along with the programme of weekday and Saturday services in churches throughout the Mission Community.

Please check for any variations to the usual programme, which are also published in our newsletter.
